"There are many who say that all of existence is hollow. All perception is a black projection against a material free vacuum. A lapse of perception, of pain, responding to the bleeps and the shades around it. Substance, carbon whispering to itself. All inside, and inside fading. Yet ahead, all empty space is filled with a dazzling array of spectral theater. The cosmos spewing beautiful nimbus flowers and traffic jams roaring with ecstasy. Despite the sight and sound spectacle, deep inside of our heart we can still feel this void, this land of not. Damp with the waters of Lethe, wishing to dry ourselves with exposure to the sun and to the netlabel supernova, we hungry hearts have a collaboration wishing to smash through the nil by staring it in the face. Now a common sight in the Effluvia home, Arnaud Barbe of Pollux evaporates and forms a cloud, merged through gaseous sound with Dishdawash Arnett, the man whose fingers type these words before your unseeing eyes. Empty inside, we have both pursued the solace of creation and manipulation to reap emotion amidst the hollow nonfeeling and sharing it with other hungry souls. In these two tracks, we present our interpretation of the land of not. Unveiling the landscapes existing outside and inside of us, these untamed illusions. The continuum of nature, ebbing with vigor and apathy seamlessly. The continuum of thought, frolicking and tumbling like an absurd mirror shattering and repairing itself in wretched pattern. And yet, in the land of awe, your ears can hear this and your soul is illuminated with awe… if you let it be. Oh and mind you this is no split. Both tracks are a concentrated effort of the both of us."
