Description by Effluvia Recordings:
"Mollusks! Yes, you! Everybody step forward. A practice as old as the alpha’s nanny is passing us by behind the neon lights. The bustling, glowing, halluginogenic cities we all live in keep the night illuminated when the moon and stars fail. Yet, the black of night lays just beyond the pavement. The ether from which the night clubs and Burger Kings protrude. The purity. The essence that becomes our absurd species. It speaks a language just as we lunatics do. Oh, the walls we build. Genres for example. I always appreciate an artist who can embody the full, spectral spirit of a given category, and while this work of art by two netlabel Gods Arnaud Barbe (Pollux) & Kai Nobuko (Covolux) explores, for the most part, the realm of lowbit delicate ambience, there is more. One can easily transcend the boundaries of culture and enter lambent light of true artistic basking. These two, never actually joining forces on these tracks yet still remarkably teamed and collaborative and realized, embody not a given category, but through their liberation and universal thinking they silently whisper what, for a time, feels like the ether. The night time beyond the glowing buzzing light. Though these creations exist within this bustling, glowing utopia and it’s rules and gismos, mirages and premonitions of this purity enshrouds it. Today for you fine mollusks, I am happy to say that two very loving people are here to provide that shoud, if only for a little while. What a beautiful little split."
